Pianist Chloe Li is an accomplished performer and educator who serves as Adjunct Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Music at the University of Notre Dame. She has also served as Collaborative Pianist with the Concordia Choir in Notre Dame’s Sacred Music Program and Lecturer of Piano in the Department of Music at Saint Mary’s College.
She is a dedicated teacher in South Bend, Indiana, with more than ten years of experience teaching students ranging from young children to adults. A caring, encouraging, and devoted teacher, her students have won competitions, including the Gene Marcus Piano Competition and Stickley Piano Competition, achieved ABRSM Piano Grade 8, and furthered their studies in graduate music programs at tertiary institutions. She is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and its local chapter, the South Bend Area Music Teachers Association (SBAMTA).
Chloe studied with renowned pianist Nancy Loo at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where she earned a MA in Music. She has performed as soloist and chamber musician in wide-ranging repertoire, including Bach, Scarlatti, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Schubert, Debussy, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Tan Dun, William Bolcom, and Philip Glass, in the United States and China. She performed as collaborative pianist at the Hunter International Music Festival (New York).
Chloe welcomes new piano students of all ages and backgrounds. Lessons are held in South Bend and can be taught in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin.
